Ingredients To Make Brownie Mix With Fresh Milled Flour
Bottom Layer- In The Jar First
- 100g Fresh Milled Flour ~a light cup (I recommend Soft White Wheat, Spelt, or Einkorn)
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
Middle Layer- In The Jar Second
- 320g Brown Sugar ~1&1/2 packed cup (You can sub for Sucanat if you prefer.)
Top Layer- In The Jar Last
- 52g cocoa powder 1/2 cup
Instructions How To Make Fresh Milled Flour Brownie Mix
- Firstly, mill your flour. I recommend soft white wheat, but spelt or einkorn would work as well.
- I like to put my wide mouth quart size mason jar on my kitchen scale, and zero out the scale.
- Then, I put 100g of freshly milled flour into the bottom of the jar.
- On top of the flour, I put the baking soda and salt.
- In the middle layer, I put 320g of Brown Sugar.
- Then for the top, I put a layer of 52g cocoa powder. You may also need to gently jostle the jar so that everything fits, and is below the top of the rim, so that you can put on a lid
- Place an airtight lid onto the jar.
- Decorate as desired, you can be as creative as you wish! I have a link to the Recipe Cards you see in my photos that you can print out at home! HERE

Prepare The Fresh Milled Flour Brownie Mix
- Add entire contents of the FMF Brownie mix into a large mixing bowl.
- Then, add 1 stick of melted butter (1/2 cup, 115g), 2 eggs, and 2 tsp Vanilla Extract.
- Mix ingredients just to combine, don’t overmix. Allow the brownie mix to sit while the oven preheats.
- Preheat the oven to 350*F
- Grease or Butter a 8×8 baking pan.
- Bake the brownies for about 35 minutes.
- Lastly, let the brownies cool for at least 10 minutes, then enjoy!
