My Grandma's EASY Peach Cobbler Made With Fresh Milled Flour
My Grandma's Peach Cobbler is one of the easiest & quickest dump and go dessert recipes! This delicious dessert is made with freshly milled wheat, and fresh peaches. So, it is packed with wonderful nutrients! Also, this recipe can be changed up with so many different flavor options!
4-6sliced peachesfresh or frozen (thawed), you can decide if you would like to leave the skin on or peel them.
1cupfresh milled flour 120gI use my AP Flour Blend HERE.
1&1/2tspbaking powder
1/4tspsaltIf using unsalted butter
1cupsugar 200g + 2 TBSP 25g for sprinkling on peaches
1tspground cinnamon + some for sprinkling on top
1cupwater 240g
Instructions
Firstly, mill the flour, I like to use my AP Flour Blend. *See notes
Slice fresh peaches OR you can use thawed frozen peach slices.
Sprinkle the peach slices with the 2 TBSP sugar, and then stir to coat all the peaches. (You could use honey instead if you prefer.)
Preheat you oven to 350* F with a 9x13 OR 12 inch cast iron pan with the butter in it. This will melt the butter as your oven preheats.
As soon as the butter is melted, pour the sliced peaches directly onto the melted butter.
Add the baking powder, sugar, salt (if using unsalted butter), and cinnamon to the flour, and stir to combine.
Sprinkle the dry ingredients evenly over the peaches.
Pour the water over the dry ingredients, and gently with a spoon stir the water into the dry flour, trying to be careful not to stir the peaches into it. (You are making a top layer over top of the peach layer.
Sprinkle a little cinnamon over the top.
Bake for 45 mins to and 1 hour or until golden brown.
Serve warm, you can enjoy by itself, or add some ice cream!

Flour: My favorite AP Flour Blend is 1/3 Kamut, 1/3 soft white & 1/3 hard wheat. You can use most any flour or blend you prefer for this.Flavors: You can change up the fruit with this as well.
