16ozcottage cheeseyou could use Ricotta if you prefer
1&1/2cupshredded mozzarella cheeseDivided
1/2cupgrated Parmesan cheese
1egg
1tbsp.chopped fresh parsley (or 1 tsp dried parsley)You could use Spinach here is you like
1tspgarlic powder
1/2tsp.salt
1/2tsp.fresh cracked black pepper
1/4tspnutmeg
16ozyour favorite marinara sauceor homemade sauce
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
In a Medium bowl, combine the cottage cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, garlic powder, nutmeg, salt, and black pepper. Then, mix well to combine.
Fill each manicotti tube with the cheese mixture. (you can use a spoon or piping bag)
Then, pour a small amount (1/2 cup) of the marinara sauce on the bottom of your baking dish. Arrange the filled manicotti tubes in a baking dish on top of the sauce.
Cover the Manicotti tubes with marinara sauce, making sure they are fully covered.
Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the cheese is melted, browned, and bubbly.
Remove the manicotti from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
