Ingredients

  • 1/2 loaf of bread, cut into 3/4 inch cubes (a day or two old works great! But, fresh will work as well.)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven to 375* F.
  • Cut the bread into 3/4 inch cubes, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Then toss them with a generous amount of olive oil and your favorite seasonings. I like to use garlic powder, salt, parsley, and some cracked black pepper.
  • Spread the bread cubes out on a baking sheet, and bake them for 15-20 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown. Halfway through baking, stir the croutons ensure even toasting.
  • Once the croutons are done, let them cool completely before adding to your salad.
  • Any leftover croutons can be stored in an airtight container. They will keep for several days at room temperature, or you can freeze them for longer storage.
