These easy homemade croutons made from fresh milled flour bread will elevate your salad game! I love to make these croutons and add them to my Caesar Salad. Use any seasoning blend you like, and use up any bread you have leftover.
1/2loaf of bread, cut into 3/4 inch cubes(a day or two old works great! But, fresh will work as well.)
1/4cupolive oil
1tspgarlic powder
1tspfresh cracked black pepper
1tspsalt
1tspdried parsley
Instructions
Preheat Oven to 375* F.
Cut the bread into 3/4 inch cubes, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Then toss them with a generous amount of olive oil and your favorite seasonings. I like to use garlic powder, salt, parsley, and some cracked black pepper.
Spread the bread cubes out on a baking sheet, and bake them for 15-20 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown. Halfway through baking, stir the croutons ensure even toasting.
Once the croutons are done, let them cool completely before adding to your salad.
Any leftover croutons can be stored in an airtight container. They will keep for several days at room temperature, or you can freeze them for longer storage.
