Wow, These Chewy Double Chocolate Chip Cookies Made With Fresh Milled Flour are so delectable! So easily in the top 5 cookie favorites! They have a nostalgic chew to them for me, as one of the few cookies I couldn't resist. And, they seem to just get better each time!

Ingredients
  

  • 2&2/3 cup Fresh Milled Flour 320g I milled 320g soft white wheat berries to get this
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder 56g
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup softened butter 226g 2 sticks
  • 2/3 cup sugar 130g
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar 150g
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips 340g or any mix of chips & or nuts you want

Instructions
 

  • Firstly, mill your flour
  • Preheat Oven to 350*F
  • Add cocoa powder, baking soda, & salt to the flour. Mix to combine.
  • In a separate bowl, beat softened (but not melted) butter & sugars until they are smooth & creamy.
  • Then, add vanilla & beat again.
  • Add eggs to butter mixture & beat until combined.
  • Now, add flour mixture into the wet ingredients, and mix until combined.
  • Choose which mix-ins you want, (white chocolate chips or other kinds) add them into the cookie batter, and mix.
  • Scoop cookies with cookie scoop onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart from each other.
  • Bake for 9-10 minutes.
  • Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire cooling rack.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

This cookie dough freezes nicely, just flash freeze dough balls in the refrigerator on a lined baking tray. Then bake from frozen at 350*F for 10-12 minutes
You can make this recipe with regular white flour, you just may need to adjust the flour amount down to 2 cups all purpose white flour.
