Chewy Double Chocolate Chip Cookies - Fresh Milled Flour
Wow, These Chewy Double Chocolate Chip Cookies Made With Fresh Milled Flour are so delectable! So easily in the top 5 cookie favorites! They have a nostalgic chew to them for me, as one of the few cookies I couldn't resist. And, they seem to just get better each time!
2&2/3cup Fresh Milled Flour 320gI milled 320g soft white wheat berries to get this
1/2cupCocoa Powder 56g
1tspbaking soda
1/2tspsalt
1cupsoftened butter 226g2 sticks
2/3cupsugar 130g
3/4cupbrown sugar 150g
1tspvanilla extract
2large eggs
2cupswhite chocolate chips 340gor any mix of chips & or nuts you want
Instructions
Firstly, mill your flour
Preheat Oven to 350*F
Add cocoa powder, baking soda, & salt to the flour. Mix to combine.
In a separate bowl, beat softened (but not melted) butter & sugars until they are smooth & creamy.
Then, add vanilla & beat again.
Add eggs to butter mixture & beat until combined.
Now, add flour mixture into the wet ingredients, and mix until combined.
Choose which mix-ins you want, (white chocolate chips or other kinds) add them into the cookie batter, and mix.
Scoop cookies with cookie scoop onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart from each other.
Bake for 9-10 minutes.
Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire cooling rack.

This cookie dough freezes nicely, just flash freeze dough balls in the refrigerator on a lined baking tray. Then bake from frozen at 350*F for 10-12 minutesYou can make this recipe with regular white flour, you just may need to adjust the flour amount down to 2 cups all purpose white flour.
